About
Pocket Offline started as a shared spreadsheet between three friends who kept losing their metro commute to games that demanded a login screen. We got tired of installing something promising, only to hit a wall the moment the connection died. So we began keeping notes on what actually runs offline, and the notes turned into this site.
Every game we cover gets installed on real phones and played for at least a few evenings. We put the device in airplane mode on purpose and see what survives. If a title quietly needs a server to save your progress or unlock the next level, we say so plainly in the review.
We pick games across genres, not just the trendy ones. Some weeks it's a slow farming simulator, other weeks a brutal tactics RPG. The only firm rule is that the core experience has to work with no internet, and that it has to be worth your storage space.
We are a small independent group. Nobody here answers to a publisher, and no studio gets to preview or approve what we write. If we liked something, we'll tell you why. If it wasted our time, we'll tell you that too.
