Tideward Tactics

Tideward Tactics is a slow-burn strategy game about defending a chain of islands from a creeping invasion. You move units across hex grids, manage limited supply, and decide which villages you can afford to abandon. It's tense in the quiet way good strategy games are.

The AI isn't flawless, but it's smart enough to flank you if you overextend. I appreciated that the campaign never nagged me to reconnect. Battles are saved between turns, so I could plan a move, put the phone down, and resume hours later.

If you like thinking three turns ahead and hate losing progress to a dropped connection, this one earns its place on your home screen.
